Smart home devices bring convenience, automation, and control to modern homes. Lighting, cameras, thermostats, locks, and voice assistants can all work together to make daily living easier.
Over time, however, these systems require occasional attention. Devices may disconnect, software updates can affect automations, batteries need replacement, and new devices often need to be integrated into existing systems.
Smart Home Care provides structured support for the technology already operating in your home.
Rather than troubleshooting devices one at a time, this service focuses on maintaining the reliability, performance, and integration of your smart home ecosystem so it continues to work the way it was intended.
Smart Home Care ensures your connected home remains organized, responsive, and easy to use.
Smart Home Care begins with an in-home consultation to review your existing smart home devices, platforms, and automations.
During this consultation we evaluate how your devices currently communicate, how routines and automations are structured, and where improvements can be made to increase reliability or simplify the system.
From this review, a service plan is created to support the needs of your connected home.
This may include updating firmware and software, replacing device batteries, refining automation routines, enabling integrations or skills, improving communication between devices, and integrating new smart devices as your system evolves.
The goal is to create a plan that keeps your smart home operating smoothly as technology changes and your system grows.
Smart Home Care begins at $800 per year and includes 2 scheduled service visits along with remote support when needed.
Each scheduled visit typically lasts 2–3 hours and focuses on maintaining the performance of the devices, automations, and integrations outlined in your service agreement.
During these visits, service may include:
• Firmware and software updates
• Device troubleshooting and reconnection
• Automation and routine adjustments
• Battery replacements
• Device positioning or mounting adjustments
• Integration of new devices into the system
The plan also includes 8 service hours annual allowance and material allowance of $100 that may be used for minor items such as batteries, mounting hardware, wiring, and cable anchors required to maintain your current setup.
Additional service hours, visits, or material allowances can be incorporated when curating your plan.
This structured approach helps ensure the technology throughout your home remains reliable and easy to manage.
Smart Home Care is designed for homeowners who already have connected devices throughout their home and want a dependable way to keep those systems operating smoothly.
As smart homes grow, managing updates, integrations, and device communication can become more complex. Structured support helps prevent small technology issues from disrupting daily use.
This service may be a good fit if you:
• Have multiple smart devices throughout the home
• Have automations or routines that occasionally stop working
• Experience devices disconnecting or losing communication
• Continue adding new devices to your system over time
• Want a professional to periodically review and maintain your smart home
Smart Home Care focuses on consumer-level smart home ecosystems such as voice assistants, connected lighting, cameras, thermostats, and other commonly used devices.
Professionally engineered automation platforms such as Crestron, Control4, and Savant typically require manufacturer-certified technicians and are outside the scope of this service.
For homes using consumer smart technology, Smart Home Care provides a structured way to keep your connected home performing the way it should.
